Chapters for this book

Each chapter can link to several scene cards. Updating its status here updates all linked cards. See more opens the saved chapter in a new window or tab.

GREEN = approved. YELLOW = draft. Unverified sources stay neutral. A card with several chapters stays yellow if any is a draft; otherwise it turns green only when all are GREEN. Status is saved here; it does not automatically sync from Google Drive.

A book you can move around.

Your four rooms: Plan holds cards, the linked map, worldbuilding and bibles. Write holds chapters and external document links. Read gives you a clean reading room. Edit holds the chapter review queue and version history.

Approve: click Approve GREEN on a tile to approve its scene plan and linked chapter versions. Cards sharing those chapters update together. Without a chapter, approval applies only to the scene plan. Undo reverses the approval.

Chapters: use Chapters to link a chapter to one or more scenes. Set GREEN for author-approved prose or YELLOW for a draft; linked cards follow that status. See more opens the chapter in a new window or tab. Existing manuscript excerpts are marked Unverified and may contain material changed in the current map. Chapter links and approval statuses are saved to your cloud workspace and included in JSON backups. They are not automatically synced from Drive. Use Writing library to write and approve chapters inside this studio.

Layout: choose Vertical to stack cards down each section, or Horizontal to arrange each section as a row of cards. Your choice is remembered for each book. Use a row’s scrollbar to browse across it.

Move: drag the dotted handle at the top of any note. On a phone, hold the handle and drag. You can also open a note and use Section and Place before.

Edit: tap a note’s title or text. Change the scene, thread, status, or your own notes. Numbers update as you reorder.

Add: use Add scene, or the + button in a section. Undo reverses recent changes, including deletion.

Save: edits save to your account and keep a local recovery copy. Version history restores a saved workspace as a new version. The save indicator distinguishes pending edits from cloud saves.

Use My Books to switch books, or New book to start a blank board. Book details keeps each book’s folder link, Author Studio link, and writing instructions. Export can back up this book or all books. Links do not sync manuscript content.

The audited Hope & Elvis board includes the prologue, 60 Book 1 scene units, seven Book 2 notes, and twelve series/writing decision notes. Decision notes are not counted as Book 1 scenes. Proposed additions and unresolved decisions remain in the note text.

JSON preserves every editable detail for restoring or moving to another browser. Markdown is a readable scene outline.

Import a scene map

Paste a numbered Markdown scene list, or choose the .md file. Existing references (such as [S001]) keep your notes attached. Without references, unchanged titles match existing scenes. Unmatched scenes are kept in the parking lot.
